Situated at the ski resort in the mountain village of Pelvoux, only 100 meters from the pistes and in the heart of the Ecrins National Park. L'Eychauda is a ground floor apartment and part of a purpose built chalet completed in 2006. It is in a quiet and private location with a superb view and outlook onto Puy-St-Vincent and the surrounding mountains.

L'Eychauda is all on one level and comprises one double bedroom, a combined sitting room and kitchen area, separate toilet and bathroom with shower. The sitting room gives access to a patio complete with garden furniture. Beyond this is a very large communal garden ideal for eating outdoors in summer.

The kitchen is fully kitted out and includes a cafetiere, kettle, fridge, oven and 4 ring hob. The sitting room area has a sofa that makes into a double bed. The apartment also has a safe lock-up for skis and snowboards in winter and in summer there is room for your bicycles.

In wintertime you are right next to the ski lifts, and can easily ski down to the ski school, creche and beginners pistes at Pelvoux. There is also a children's sledging area and acro-bungy station within walking distance. There is X-C skiing and snowshoeing from the doorstep, and superb ice climbing less than 5 minutes drive away. Pelvoux is a small ski station ideal for a family's first ski holiday, but you are only 15 minutes from the award-winning ski resort of Puy-St-Vincent if you need more!

In summer there is an outdoor swimming pool a few minutes walk away including municipal tennis courts, and you have trekking, mountain biking, and white water canoeing close by as the River Gyr is less than 300m away. For road riding cycle tours you are 2 minutes from the classic Glacier Blanc itinerary, and for climbing Ailefroide, France's second center of Alpinism, is only a 5 minute drive, offering multi-pitch bolted rock climbing at all grades and mountain climbs up to 4,000m. in altitude.

Parking is off-road, in front of the main entrance, and there are restaurants, a bar, internet cafe and a mini supermarket just a few minutes walk away.
