Centrally located in the hamlet of Les Pres, 150m. walk from the pistes at Puy-St-Vincent 1400, Apartment Les Gentianes is part of a traditional alpine chalet, built in 2003.
This spacious apartment is all on one level. It comprises an all inclusive open plan kitchen/living room (complete with DVD player and TV) with a sofa bed, a small terrace, a double bedroom, a second bedroom with bunk beds, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. At 60m2 it can easily accommodate up to 6 people .
Outside there is a garage which is used as a boot room for skis in winter and for bikes in summer.
Les Pres is one of three hamlets that make up Puy-St-Vincent, and enjoys a quiet village atmosphere. There are restaurants and a food store centred on the village square, literally just a few minutes' walk, with the stunning back-drop of the Ecrins' Mountain Massif and La Vallouise Valley in full view.
In Winter the apartment is ideally situated for skiing (including X-C) and snowshoeing, and there are a number of exciting off-piste skiing or snowboarding descents in the adjacent Narreyroux Valley - a local secret! There is even a local outdoor ice rink less than 150m. away.
In Summer you have mountain biking, rock climbing and Via Ferrata all within a 5 minute drive. There are also many walks and mountain hikes you can take literally from your doorstep. On your rest days you have tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool just a few minutes' drive away.
As with all AlpBase accommodation the apartment comes complete with lots of local information about what's on offer, information sheets on rock and ice climbing, mountain biking, walking, ski mountaineering and Via Ferrata, and free loan of maps and guidebooks.
