This new luxurious chalet is very chic and modern, yet is fully furnished with the owner's personal antique furniture, ensuring that you will enjoy an unforgettable stay at the gateway to the Ecrins Massif, in the Southern French Alps. The chalet is located on 1400m2 of private land, in a tranquil and relaxing environment close to the small mountain village of Les Vigneaux. It is only 15 minutes from Briancon, and 5 minutes drive from Vallouise.

The cottage is presented on two floors: the ground floor is very large and open (80m2) and includes an entrance hall, an open plan lounge/dining room, and a kitchen with breakfast bar.
At its center stands an imposing Tulikivi marble stone stove. The lounge is equipped with sofas and wide screen DVD and TV.
As you approach from the entrance on your right hand side is a downstairs toilet and then an open fully equipped kitchen with traditional cooker, 3 ovens, griddle and ceramic hob, dishwasher and microwave. Beyond this is a cellar with washing machine, dryer and freezer.
The living room includes a real piano and dining table, and throughout the decoration is based on an alpine homestead design.
Upstairs a large open mezzanine includes a double sofa bed and a double futon, plus TV and DVD, and small library area. In addition there are three bedrooms - a small children's bedroom, a larger single bedroom and large double master bedroom with exercise machine, dressing room and small south facing balcony. A large bathroom with spa bath, hand basin and toilet complete the first floor.

The outside area includes a large south facing garden, complete with children's swing and other assorted games. There is also a stone terrace facing west for summer use.
And finally.......if you have a large group and need more space there is an attached private studio comprising a double sofa bed and a large double bunk bed, with en suite shower and toilet. Email us for prices and details.
The chalet is located 5 minutes walk from the Les Vigneaux village centre and its listed church. The nearest bread shop is a 10 minute walk away. In winter the ski resort of Puy-St-Vincent is less than a 10 minute drive, and Pelvoux ski resort is 15 minutes. In summer you can walk, mountain bike or climb one of the area's famous Via Ferrata itineraries from your doorstep. And Ailefroide, France's second centre of Alpinism and the start proper of the Ecrins' National Park, is less than a 20 minute drive away.
