Thanks so much for a great trip. First of all, we all of thought the apartment was excellent and superbly located.  It's so rare in France to find an apartment with a kettle and a teapot!
For us what really added value was your expert knowledge, giving us invaluable advice as to where to climb/ski . . .
We had a fantastic time, climbed ourselves sore and hope to return as there is still so much untouched.
It is very hard to give any critical feedback when you are already doing such a great job - except keep it going!

Hi Jerry,
The feedback that I had from the boys was all very good, they all seemed to really enjoy it, and the combination of the boys that came along and the activities arranged fitted very well, and I had good feedback from the parents too. On top of that both Rufus and I really enjoyed ourselves too as it was a really good trip.

Just to say a huge thank you for such a lovely week.  We had a really enjoyable time and loved all the activities and walks that you provided for us.  The Chalet was just lovely and fully equipped with all that we needed for the week.  All contact with yourselves throughout the week and beforehand via email was all fantastic and informative.  Vallouise itself and the surrounding area was lovely and a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of London life!  Leo thoroughly enjoyed the 'Climbing Chats' with Jerry!

We had a fab time in Vallouise, so many thanks.  V brief feedback the apartment was great and very well equipped, and well-positioned. The info and maps you provided was really useful. We all had a great time, even the older ones said there was plenty on offer. We will be recommending to friends etc

Just to say we are returning your two maps that got caught up in our luggage in the clearing-up. Sorry about that.

You may remember us - you gave us the recommendation that Cat I are have a go at Les Beaux Quartiers on the Aiguille De Lauzett.  I've been meaning to drop you a line since we got back just to say thanks for a brilliant recommendation, we really enjoyed the route.  We did it on the final day of our trip (Sat 21 August) and whilst we were unsure of the weather the day before it was glorious on the Saturday.  The long drive home the next day was exhausting but we had smiles on our faces!

Hi Jerry,
True to my word and with great excitement I have managed to have annual leave approved and would therefore like to book a couple more weeks with you.  This time, in August, 14th - 28th to be precise.  We're going to drive down again but take our time stopping en route and bring bikes as well as climbing stuff.  Also, we want to have a go at kayaking. 

We have been spreading the word about how wonderful our holiday was in Jan/Feb '10 and I think a friend of ours may be interested.  He did say he'd contact you but I don't know if he has.

Dear Jerry & Jackie,

We cannot thank you enough for looking after us so magnificently. We really, really loved our holiday in Sylvestre and it was a special treat to have so much of Jerry's time on the Via Ferrata.  The photos are spectacular! 

Yet two more thank-you's:  Firstly, for helping Tom out with his rental and providing fax and email back-up during our holiday.  Luckily and just in the nick of time it all got sorted out.  The others moved in on the Thursday that we were with you and Tom moved in last weekend.  Secondly, for offering to talk to Guy's school about your climbing expeditions Jerry.

It was a long haul from Australia but we just wanted to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our week with you, for me it was definitely the best part of our holiday in France. You live in a glorious part of the world.

We were very pleased with the level of service that you guys provided. I don't know if the information sheets that you provided at the apartment are part of your website but we found them really useful when planning our family activities for MTB, rock climbing and hiking.

Hi Jerry,
Thanks again for all your help during the week we'd have struggled without it, especially with all the ice conditions info and local avalanche warnings and risky areas. I am looking to get back out skiing somewhere in March but not sure on the plans yet so watch this space I may be in touch!?! Pass on my e-mail to Kev as we have various trips to Scotland going on so if they're up there then we could grab a beer but already have the climbing teams sorted.  Just got back from the Cairngorms where we had over foot of fresh snow and temps down to -14 so could get close to the northern corries without skis or snow snows (I really must buy a pair of them!) over 3 hours to get Fiaciall ridge - very un-sporting and lots of avalanches in Shneacda.

Hope you guys are well and enjoying the great conditions.

Hi Jerry,

I was going to drop you a line last week but the four days back in work were mental! We spend the week before getting everything sorted so there's no problems whilst we are away and the week after catching up.  Chris has been out in the states on business since last Tuesday and he's back in the UK tomorrow so I think I'll be glad of a rest this weekend. 

Anyway the good news is that we thought the Chalet was stunning and so well equipped, we look forward to getting back out there when we have the opportunity. We are trying to plan a trip in the summer but fitting everything in at the moment is proving difficult.  We are also looking at bringing my nieces out skiing next year as they have been nagging to join us for a while. 

Also we wanted to say a Big thank you for the slide show we thoroughly enjoyed it, please let us know when your DVD is available.

Hi Jerry,

We had a great week and the Chalet was excellent. Thanks for the slide show and ice route information, We went up to do Double Scotch but the left hand side was running so Dave went up the right hand side to do a harder variation on the right, probably a 6 but 20 ft up it had a 6 inch fracture/horizontal gap all the way through, so we left it for another day.

Hopefully, we will visit soon as there is so much Ice to climb in the area, we didn't even touch the surface. Upper section of Fournel valley looks great, though too much snow at present. But we will be back, plenty unfinished Ice in the Ecrins.

Good luck with your 7 summit challenges and raising awareness with the diabetes.

I will send you a copy of our meet report, when I have written it. Should amuse you and you can send it out to any other clubs who show an interest in stopping with you. Give them an idea of what can be done in the area.

Thanks again for the great few days in L'Acacia, a wonderful host as ever. Beware the taxi ride to Briancon as its 50 Euros on the meter!!  No problem on the trains home, everyone on time, even the last from St Pancras to Leicester surprisingly.

We have been chatting about our Matterhorn jaunt and the lads don't fancy the winter room at the hut and we can't move the dates due to the guys' holidays and so we have decided to check out the sun kissed huts of the Ecrins for early June.  We figure there's some great fun to be had round your neck of the woods which whilst might not be the Matterhorn would be equally if not better climbing!  So see you in June!

We've all had a wonderful week here in Apt. Les Valerianes. There are some wonderful ski slopes that we visited, Puy-St-Vincent and Montgenevre had amazing views from the tpos. It's a shame to be leaving, but hopefully we will be back!

We've had a lovely week here - ice climbing, XC skiing and just walking around in the snow! Jerry's advice was invaluable in choosing the right ice routes for difficulty and in terms of safety and conditions. Super psyched to come back with even more friends next year.

Just a quick note to express our thanks for last week. The accommodation was excellent and everyone was grateful for the help and advice received on the ice climbing, skiing and local conditions. It made for a great holiday. So good in fact that a number of people are already talking about next year.
Our concerns about the Col de Montgenevre proved unfounded and we didn't even stop to put chains on!
