Jerry and Gaz Parry, ranked within top 10 climbers in the world had an epic last week!

Sunday 23 Oct 2011. Jerry and I nipped out for a walk to Pelvoux. It was just STUNNING. The colours and magnificent deep blue sky were just amazing. After 8 years we still cant believe our luck on finding Vallouise!

Tuesday 25 Oct 2011. Woke up this morning to 20cm snow, and still snowing! Winter has arrived, and what a great start, so you can now book your Winter holiday with confidence.

Amazing how sometimes a huge amount of good comes from something utterly rubbish!

The temperature is dropping, and heavy snow forcast for Wednesday 7th December. Will keep you informed!

Snowed all day yesterday. Today we woke up to -7 clear blue skies and a fantastic winter wonderland.

Cross country skiing from the doorstep of ALPBASE in Vallouise. The pistes are in perfect condition and the skies are deep blue.

From 4th -10th Feb 2012 we have the european ski mountaineering championships in Vallouise. See www.ski-ecrins.com. The course literally passes our chalet in Vallouise!
