  • Buy your Puy Saint Vincent ski pass online here

    Opens Sat 17th December

Pretty Puy Saint Vincent sits on the edge of the Ecrins National Park in the Southern French Alps, not far from the Italian border. The closest airport is Turin, less than two hours away, or add another hour to drive from Grenoble or Chambéry.

The ski resort of Puy Saint Vincent is called, with reason “la protégée des vents (Village sheltered from the wind)" benefitting from the high peaks that surround it, making the most from its north face and its location next to many substantial glaciers in the Ecrins range. Puy is known for late-season snow and an average 300 days a year of sunshine. The whole ski area is in the sun until mid-afternoon.

The skiing extends to 2,750m with 75km of marked ski runs. There’s a snow park and boarder cross, and advanced skiers will be challenged by a wide choice of reds and two blacks – one tricky for its sheer steepness, the other for its moguls. There’s plenty of off-piste through larch forest, but professional guides are recommended for the big off-piste challenges of Narreyroux valley and the Col du Bal.

As well as alpine skiing, there are 60km of cross country skiing trails, mapped, marked, covered in quality snow and surrounded by breath-taking 360 ° views in Puy-Saint-Vincent and Vallouise, You don’t need any previous experience and you can start direct from the door of several Alpbase properties.

There is also a complete range of activities other than skiing: - Sledging, snowshoeing, ice climbing, paragliding, snake-sledging (snake-gliss), ice skating, ice skating, and even dog sleighing, or skidooing!

You can buy your Puy Saint Vincent ski pass online here.
