The rain in Britain has maybe deterred you, so why not come out in the Spring to Vallouise with over 300 days of sunshine and get on that bike? We at Alpbase know all the cols, and have safe lock ups for bikes in our properties. It is even possible to rent bikes with an electric motor on for the uphill bits if you come with a less able partner!
